Mia Houghton is the person behind Mijoux Creations. Mia is an independent jeweller in Salisbury, Wiltshire. Crafting exquisite jewellery pieces that celebrate quality, luxury and unique design. Drawing inspiration from nature, colour and the beauty of geometry, Mia uses recycled silver, enamel and gemstones to create jewellery to be loved for generations.

Chris Lock - Photography
I have been photographing the landscapes of Wiltshire and Dorset for the last fifteen years and still find great inspiration in the changing moods and colours of the landscape through the seasons. Spending time in the great outdoors is all part of the fun: in the spring and summer months, getting up early enough to be out on a hillside to capture the first light of day can be a challenge, but well worth the effort when rewarded with a magnificent sunrise over a mist-filled valley.
I am largely self-taught as a photographer and currently use a Canon EOS 5D digital SLR camera, most often with a 16 – 35mm wide angle zoom lens. My work has appeared in a number of books and magazines, and 2025 marks the 14th edition of my Wylye Valley Calendar, which supports the Wiltshire based international children’s charity Hope and Homes for Children.
The images featured in this exhibition were chosen very much with a local theme in mind – with photographs of the beautiful landscape and scenery of south-west Wiltshire.

Jane McNeill - Pottery
I have lived a life of two halves, the second starting when I discovered clay in 2019. I gain huge joy from making wheel-thrown ceramics; I craft functional pieces which I hope are also beautiful, in which form and purpose are blended seamlessly. Everyday rituals and habits can feel so much more special and meaningful when we use unique, hand made pieces which have been crafted with care and thought.
I am hugely inspired by the colours of the stunning coastal landscapes of the Scilly Isles. Sparkling white sand, clear turquoise sea and endless skies are represented in my work by a calming glaze palette of blues, turquoises and creams, mixed in with areas of bare clay. Everything to do with ceramics comes from the earth and it feels only right to pay tribute to those origins in the overall aesthetic of my work.
I am not a fan of the throwaway mindset that dominates our culture and a big part of that is what has led me to focus on creating handmade ceramics that are meaningful and lasting. Each piece I craft tells its own story, reflecting time, care, and intention. Through my ceramics, I aim to encourage a more thoughtful and intentional way of living, where the beauty of handcrafted objects becomes a reminder to slow down, appreciate, and truly value what we bring into our lives.

Diliana Nikolova - Painting
Diliana Nikolova works in many areas of the arts. She works in the sphere of caricature, satirical drawing and illustration. She has written several scripts for animated films and documentaries. A big part of her creative career is connected with Small Puppet Theatre SLON. She has won many awards for her artistic achievements in the theatre & film arts as well as for her work in caricature.
In her painting endeavours the main subject is the human, the human’s existence & faith. Here is what Diliana says about her latest work: “I love people. Each human as an individual. There isn’t a person that isn’t interesting. There isn’t a person that isn’t important. Every person is someone distinctive, inimitable and amazing. I have heard people say that the human is a universe. I don’t quite agree. I think the human is a tiny particle, which has been blessed with intellect and free will but also with stubbornness and senseless which gives the ability to carry the abyss of one’s life that we don’t just lead but also create for ourselves.”
Diliana works in acrylics, her work is bold and bright but at the same time has a lot of detail, with each painting or character carrying a message which is sometimes very clear but mostly open to interpretation by the viewer, where one can often see themselves in some moment or other in their lives.

Billy Richardson - Basketry
I have always been drawn to nature and combining that with the idea of making beautiful objects which have a useful purpose, working with willow was an obvious choice for me.
I retired from nursing in 2014 and worked voluntarily for an arts festival till 2018 when I took a job in an art gallery in Salisbury where I worked until 2024.
In 2020 I started a year course (one day a month) with Louise Brown, a professional basket maker. Progress was slow due to COVID and breaking my dominant wrist during this period.
Because of the slow start and other commitments, I am now enjoying improving my skills and experimenting with new designs.

Will Richardson - Sculpture
Will is an intuitive sculptor with no formal training in art or sculpture.
In the modern world, many man-made objects and structures, with their hard straight lines and right angles, surround us and we have become acclimatised to this lack of organic forms. Yet we appreciate the beauty of living things, in their shapes and movements, and feel uplifted by them. We have a deep-seated, sub-conscious need for this form of aesthetic nourishment.
The human figure has been one of the most enduring and universal subjects in the visual arts. It is no coincidence, therefore, that Will's works have been mainly figurative, leaving unrevealed elements for the viewer to imagine. His non-representational works emphasise smooth, minimalist shapes with an essential equilibrium and fluidity.
Much of his work is in alabaster, since this stone, with its sensuous translucency, allows the light within it to enhance the sculptures bringing an additional dimension to the image.

Anna Shuttlewood
I’m an artist & illustrator living in Salisbury. The world I like to create in my artwork is bright and happy, my characters who are often animals are friendly and naïve, they sometimes live in a human-like environment and have human-like thoughts and dreams. My pictures are detailed and have many ‘mini-stories’ to discover, one can look and imagine what the characters are like and what their dreams are. I also like to explore a world of animal – human relationships. I like to create pictures and stories that are ageless, that would be interesting and amusing and at the same time valid for the children and also the adults. Classically trained with a BA in Mural Painting & Fine Art, I like to use traditional materials such as watercolour, pen & ink, gouache and pencil.
